About Shade Tree Rabbitry
It all began about 5 years ago. Alex's grandparents found a Dutch breeder with babies for sale. Many thanks to Kennard Henley of Walden Acres Rabbitry in Englewood, Florida. With his help, we started with two little Dutch bunnies, a black doe and a chocolate doe. Unfortunately, we lost that little chocolate doe a few months later, however, that black doe is still in our rabbitry as the brood doe.
Alex is in 4H and Michelle is the Co-Organizational leader of the Manatee County Hare Raisers 4H Club. Together with many of their club members, Alex and Michelle travel to rabbit shows around the state of Florida.
This has been an incredible experience for Mother and Son starting up this rabbitry, continuing to care for their rabbits, and creating a bond with the shared love these two have for their bunnies.
